Steel Inspection / Steel Repair Supervision

All our steel inspectors are qualified to internationally recognised weld inspection standards (CSWIP level 2) and have years of experience of ship repair, dealing with class surveyors and shipyards, completing repairs to owner's / class society / oil major's satisfaction and have extensive knowledge of IACS requirements.

With the financial and environmental cost of inferior repairs so high our customers rely on our inspectors to get their repairs done on time and to the highest standard. As with all of our work our philosophy is never to compromise on quality.

Shipyards run to a tight schedule and this can sometimes mean a compromise on quality control and standards. We act as the owner’s quality control representative ensuring that nothing is missed and highest quality is maintained. This reduces the pressure on the superintendent and gives the surveyor confidence that all repairs are being tightly controlled. MIS docking reports give in depth details of what repairs were completed and this can be essential to getting the vessel passed for the next cargo with oil majors.
