We are all concerned about schedules and budgets, so there is nothing worse than arriving at a docking only to
discover that more extensive steel renewals / coating repairs are required than have been budgeted for. The repair time and costs can increase
hugely.
MIS surveys can be tailored to meet particular requirements of different classification
societies.
If a vessel requires a special survey or a CAP 1 or 2 rating our inspectors have experience in both owners
requirements & what each classification society require to attain a particular standard as requirements vary between the different classification societies, our inspectors are qualified to Cswip
level 2.
Repair specifications are all in line with class rules and this reduces the time spent by the class surveyor
on board, therefore reducing costs & time.
Oil majors are now looking at root cause / repair / modification of defects and this can have implications for
the tradablility of the vessel. Our repair specifications contain details of modifications required to satisfy these requirements.
Our reports contain precise details of areas of wastage / damage, drawings, photographs, steel renewal
specifications, weights in kg’s, staging and coating requirements. The report enables the owner/manager to get quotes from shipyards for the actual work required.
