Leak Detection
MIS offer Ultrasonic Watertight Integrity Inspections to test ships for leak sites or areas of reduced compression in water/weather/airtight seals. This is a method of inspection which is both reliable and highly accurate.
Hatch covers, flanges, steering gear hatches, shell doors, and scuttles are well suited for this method of inspection. The monitoring of such seals is a crucial part of preventative ship maintenance and an effective way of mitigating the risk of water ingress occurring.
